A special meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Henderson, Nebraska was held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the City Hall in Henderson, Nebraska.


            Notice of this meeting was posted at the City Hall, Cornerstone Bank and U.S. Post Office.


            Mayor Lucas Epp called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. Present were: Mayor Lucas Epp. Council members: Matt Friesen, Deb Friesen, Jim Mestl and Scott Erb. Also present was the city clerk.


            Curt Friesen, a member of the Water Task Force requested a meeting with the Mayor and City Council to ask for their support as a member of the Water Task Force. Curt Friesen stated that several cities in the western part of the state have asked Governor Dave Heineman to remove Curt as a member due to conflict of interest of him being an irrigator and representing municipalities.


            Deb Friesen made a motion to pass Resolution 2005-03, a resolution stating the mayor and city council of Henderson fully support Curt Friesen as a member of the Water Task Force and not remove Curt Friesen from such position. Scott Erb seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Scott Erb, Deb Friesen, Matt Friesen and Jim Mestl. Motion carried.


            Negotiations with the swimming contractor was discussed. The contractor came back with a withholding from the final payment of $6,285.81. Matt Friesen made a motion to withhold from the final payment $6,785.81. Jim Mestl seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Scott Erb, Deb Friesen, Matt Friesen and Jim Mestl. Motion carried.


            Matt Friesen made a motion to adjourn. Jim Mestl seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Deb Friesen, Matt Friesen, Jim Mestl and Scott Erb. Motion carried.
