The regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Henderson, Nebraska was held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at City Hall in Henderson, Nebraska. Notice of this meeting was posted at the City Hall, Post Office and published in the March 7, 2013 Henderson News.

             Mayor Ken Bergen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Bergen declared the meeting to be legal and properly advertised with all members having been informed of the nature of the meeting and having received related information. Mayor Bergen also referred to the open meetings law poster at the back of the council chambers.

             Roll call showed the following present: Mayor Ken Bergen. Council members: Mike Wall, Jim Mestl, Lee Thiessen and Scott Erb. Also present was the chief of police and city employees..

             Minutes from the February 13 and February 22, 2013 meeting were reviewed. Lee Thiessen made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mike Wall seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Lee Thiessen, Mike Wall, Jim Mestl and Scott Erb. Motion carried.

             Claims were reviewed. Jim Mestl made a motion to approve the claims as presented. Lee Thiessen seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Jim Mestl, Lee Thiessen, Scott Erb and Mike Wall. Motion carried.

             One building permit was issued.

             The east sewer lift station was discussed. The engineer will be here this week to look at set up.

             The golf cart ordinance was not reviewed as it does not pertain to the city’s set up.

             Resolution 2013-02, a resolution to pay off the alley bond prior to due date, was reviewed. Scott Erb made a motion to adopt Resolution 2013-02. Jim Mestl seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Scott Erb, Jim Mestl, Lee Thiessen and Mike Wall. Motion carried.

             Resolution 2013-03, a resolution to authorize the sale of real estate to Bernie Anderson, was reviewed. Mike Wall made a motion to adopt Resolution 2013-03. Scott Erb seconded. Roll vote: Ayes- Mike Wall, Scott Erb, Jim Mestl and Lee Thiessen. Motion carried.

             The sealed bids for the 1965 Chevy pickup chassis were opened. Three bids were submitted and the highest bid for the pickup was from Mel Franz for $351.00. Scott Erb made a motion to accept the high bid. Jim Mestl seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Scott Erb, Jim Mestl, Mike Wall and Lee Thiessen. Motion carried.

             The mower bids were reviewed. It was decided to keep the current mower one more year.

             Reports were given. No action taken.

             Mike Wall made a motion to adjourn. Lee Thiessen seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Mike Wall, Lee Thiessen, Scott Erb and Jim Mestl. Motion carried.
