The regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Henderson, Nebraska was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at City Hall in Henderson, Nebraska. Notice of this meeting was posted at the City Hall, Post Office and published in the December 5, 2013 Henderson News.
Mayor Ken Bergen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Bergen declared the meeting to be legal and properly advertised with all members having been informed of the nature of the meeting and having received related information. Mayor Bergen also referred to the open meetings law poster at the back of the council chambers.
Roll call showed the following present: Mayor Ken Bergen. Council members: Mike Wall, Lee Thiessen and Scott Erb. Absent: Jim Mestl.
Minutes from the November 12, 2013 meeting were reviewed. Lee Thiessen made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mike Wall seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Lee Thiessen, Mike Wall and Scott Erb. Absent: Jim Mestl. Motion carried.
Claims were reviewed. Mike Wall made a motion to approve the claims as presented. Lee Thiessen seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Mike Wall, Lee Thiessen and Scott Erb. Absent: Jim Mestl. Motion carried.
One building permit was issued.
Mayor recommendations were reviewed and discussed. After discussion Scott Erb made a motion to accept the Mayor recommendations for 2014. Mike Wall seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Scott Erb, Mike Wall and Lee Thiessen. Absent: Jim Mestl. Motion carried.

The gas line along the east side of 18th Street was discussed. The amount submitted by Source Gas was questioned on if it was bored or trenched and if gas lines could be taken to the houses without hookup. The Clerk will have answers for the next meeting.
The potential location of a helicopter pad was discussed. The Mayor will meet with the hospital to get more specifics on what is needed from the City.
Mike Wall made a motion to adjourn. Lee Thiessen seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - Mike Wall, Lee Thiessen and Scott Erb. Absent - Jim Mestl. Motion carried.
