A special meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Henderson, Nebraska was held at 12:00 (noon) p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2005 at the City Hall in Henderson, Nebraska.

Notice of this meeting was posted at the City Hall and the US Post Office and published in the December 1, 2005 Henderson News.

Mayor Lucas Epp called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. Roll call showed the following present: Mayor: Lucas Epp. Council members: Deb Friesen, Jim Mestl, Matt Friesen and Scott Erb. Also present was the city clerk.

Discussion was had on the engineer’s contract for the new well construction and many items were reviewed as whether the engineer needed to be involved with the well buildings, abandoning wells, water meters, control system including gen set and auto transfer and painting of the water tower. Clerk to prepare letter to engineers explaining what is currently taking place. Clerk also to contact NHHS to see when the extension on drilling new well needs to be submitted. No formal action taken.

HR Engineering submitted a bid on purchasing a variable frequency drive for the tower well in order to control the pumping capacity to a lower amount to monitor if nitrate levels decrease with less water being pumped. The reason for this is to investigate if the current tower well is still useable along with two new wells. Matt Friesen made a motion to accept HR Engineering’s bid of $8,820 to purchase and install the variable frequency drive. Scott Erb seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - all. Motion carried.

Scott Erb made a motion to adjourn. Jim Mestl seconded. Roll vote: Ayes - all. Motion carried.
